Jasmin Martin is a qualified traditional Thai massage practitioner and traditional/modern cupping therapist. She’s married and lives in Chudleigh, Tasmania, near the beautiful Great Western Tiers / Kooparoona Niara.
Jasmin has practised in Norway and Australia since 2016, offering traditional Thai massage and cupping therapy to clients with chronic pain and psychosomatic ailments, relieving stress and assisting with injury and post-operative rehabilitation.
She is an experienced carer, having worked as a support worker in Norway, as well as in the NDIS and Aged care systems in Australia.
“Look into the water, there you’ll see your reflection; look into the sky, there you’ll see a constant companion; look at the mountains, there you’ll find eternal support; look at the sun, there you’ll find a source to brighten your day and warm your spirit.”
A little background history
Jasmin’s adventure with holistic health began in 1992 when on the return home from two years abroad, she fell sick. Trying every medicine available - allopathic, naturopathic, spiritual - nothing relieved her symptoms.
Remembering what a local doctor in Thailand had told her - that her symptoms were emotional and not physical - she started experimenting with different therapies. This led her to radically change her life and start down the path of how mental/emotional wellbeing (or lack of it) affects the body.
For close to a decade, Jasmin looked after a close friend and teacher/mentor (Northern European shamanism) in several remote areas, and because of this felt it critical to be self-sufficient in effective healing and therapeutic practices. This motivated her to study Traditional Thai Massage in 2008 (and again in 2018).
Having been a student of martial arts for a number of years - including Muay Thai boxing - moving into Thai massage was a natural progression and extension of a deep respect for Traditional Thai medicine and its unique roots and fusion with TCM and Ayurveda.
When she moved overseas in 2009, Jasmin continued with Traditional European Medicine (Heilpraktiker) in Germany, specialising in Nutritional Therapy, and then later became a certified traditional medicine practitioner (homøopratiker) in Norway. In 2017, she completed training in Cupping Therapy back in Australia.
After suffering mental and physical burnout in 2023, Jasmin turned to Yoga and Qigong to help rebuild inner strength and self, becoming a Yoga teacher in 2024 and Qigong Wellness coach in 2025.
Therapeutic approach
Jasmin has been interested and involved in traditional medicine for 30 years in one form or another, whether as a consultant, trainer, therapist or user. Traditional medicine has become a way of thinking, living and being.
Over time, she’s refined her knowledge and experience into an all-round service, catering to not just the physical, but also mental and spiritual aspects of health and fitness.
She specialises in traditional therapies which work well together, and offers them as a dynamic holistic package during each treatment session.
This means you might like a massage for your ailment but you’re more likely to get a combination of massage, cupping, exercise and nutritional therapy.
Finding the best path to long-lasting natural health is Jasmin’s number one priority for her clients.
She looks forward to meeting you!
Skeletons in the closet
Jasmin’s great grandmother was one of the first women in Russia to be accepted and trained as a medical doctor. She met her husband in Moscow, where they married, and later moved to Switzerland. Her son, Jasmin’s grandfather, was also a GP with a practice in Geneva.
Fave pastimes
When not tying clients into pretzel knots during a Thai massage, Jasmin is often long distance bushwalking as the ultimate form of slow travel, time out, and immersion in nature. She’s also a traditional medicine nerd, constantly trying to expand her awareness of all forms of nature-based medicine from around the world.
Outdoor life
Jasmin’s hiking life started quite young with family hikes in New Zealand and Australia. It graduated up to longer distances on the few occasions her family went overseas to join Swiss relatives in the Alps. As a kid, Switzerland and hiking were a dream combination.
Bush life was the norm in the Northern Territory, Queensland and Victoria for more than a decade. When Jasmin moved to Europe and then later to Scandinavia, long distance hikes and running trails became a part of her staple diet.
In 2019 she enjoyed a year as activities planner and hiking guide for the FRI Innlandet Turgruppe. In 2020, she started up a social outdoor group in Tasmania called Map of Tassie open to all women.
Jasmin’s been leading people on bushwalks for the past nine years, organising all of her long distance bushwalking trips, from route planning, map preparation, calculating food requirements, packing and delivering food drops, researching and testing gear, to going out in all sorts of conditions from snow, ice, rain, fog, and sleet.
Jasmin is a member of the Friends of the Great Western Tiers and follows their guidelines for conservation of the wonderful Great Western Tiers / Kooparoona Niara wilderness area.

What some clients have said
“I have been having Thai massage with Jasmin for short periods over several years now. I find it soothing and stimulating at the same time and always feel well stretched and a bit taller and straighter when I leave. Jasmin has a firm, gentle touch and never asks my body to do more than it is capable of - but I am surprised sometimes at the positions it can be moved into, with her help. I highly recommend her as a warm, perceptive, skilled massage therapist.”

“I love my experience with Thai massage and cupping with Jasmin. She is so gentle yet so strong in moving my body with ease and rhythm into many different stretching techniques and positions. It is so deeply relaxing and I can feel tension within my body release. I find the cupping also deeply releases tension in my body leading to increased mobility and flexibility. My nine year old daughter also enjoys having Thai massage with Jasmin describing it as fun and relaxing. Jasmin is very knowledgeable and is so happy to share her expertise. Very grateful Jasmin is a mobile practitioner so we can enjoy from the comfort of home.”

“I was lucky to meet Jasmin a few years ago when I moved to the Deloraine area. She is such an asset to this community! Her commitment to health and healing is obvious from your first encounter. I especially admire her dedication to continuing her studies in all the areas she is passionate about. I can highly recommend her Thai massage and cupping! I’m a very happy repeat client.”

“I can highly recommend Jasmine’s Thai massages. I have had several now and find it a really positive total body and mind experience . I always feel relaxed, stretched and centred afterwards. A truly Holistic approach . Jasmine has a wealth of knowledge and experience which shines through.”

“Before Jasmin, I tried physio, acupuncture, massage, chiropractic, different exercises and even cupping. I suffered numbness in my lower back, as well as in my neck after nerve damage to C5-C7. I’ve had several operations for this. I also had semi paralysis in my left leg, pain at night which prevented me from sleeping, the need to rest each day for at least 3 hours and problems to walk. What I’ve learned is that not all cupping therapists are the same. Jasmin’s skill and competency has given me my life back. Today I can go on walks and sleep at night both without pain, plus I no longer need to rest during the day. I’m very grateful for the holistic service she has given me. ❤️”
Marita H., Raufoss, nov 2019
“I came to my first session with Jasmin with no expectations and a little skepticism but I was positively surprised. Before I had only tried physio, chiropractic and magnetic impulse bodywork. Jasmin’s treatment has had a very good effect on the numbness in my arms and hands, and the pain in my shoulders. I now have more flexibility and mobility than I had before, as well as reduced pain. I’m very satisfied with Jasmin’s service.”

“Min opplevelse av Thai massasjen var en positiv overraskelse. Siden jeg tar mye massasje i Kambodsja, også Thai Massasje forventet jeg meg noe tilsvarende det. Men dette ble en ny opplevelse. Massasjen startet med en rolig oppvarming på bena som så gradvis økte i styrke. Jeg opplevde det som en kombinasjon av massasje og yoga øvelser. Der mine muskler ble massert og strekt i alle retninger samtidig som jeg slappet helt av. En god opplevelse. Massasjen varte i 90 min. Jeg hadde en strekk i korsryggen etter en lang flyreise, under behandlingen merket jeg en endring. Dagen etter var jeg litt øm før det forsvant helt neste dag.”
“My experience with Thai massage was a positive surprise. Every time I’m in Cambodia I get a massage, so I expected kind of the same experience with Thai massage. But it was pleasantly different. The massage started with a slow warming of the legs, which gradually increased in strength. There was a combination of massage and yoga moves. It was a nice feeling. The massage lasted about 90 mins. My lower back was sore after a long flight, and I noticed a difference during the massage. The day after I was a bit sore but the pain disappeared completely the next day.”
Haldis S., Randaberg, des 2018
“Tusen takk, Thai massasjen var gull for kroppen! 😊 Anbefales!” “Thanks so much, the Thai massage was heavenly. Recommended!”
Britt H., Hedalen, des 2018
“Jasmin gir en grundige behandling i rolig atmosfære. Dette betyr god behandling som blant annet løser opp muskulatur en sjelden bruker.” “Jasmin offers a thorough service in a relaxing atmosphere. The massage works on muscles that one rarely uses.”
John og Toril H., Sandnes, des 2018
“The number one reason why I’m a huge fan of Jasmin’s Thai massage treatment is that lovely relaxed, feel good feeling you have after a massage, which lasts much longer then any general massage I have ever had. Mine lasted for days afterwards not just for a handful of hours. Due to the stretching techniques that Jasmin uses, it got much deeper and helped more muscle groups which in return made it all hold for a longer time period. Not only does this technique work on one’s muscles, I love how it also works in releasing tension in the fascia, ligaments and internal organs. I was impressed about how she was able to move around the body with flow and a rhythm, this giving me the ultimate experience.”
